The University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a registered nurse for the Flex Unit on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The unit is an overflow area with curtained spaces, requiring adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job description

Overview

This position is for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 7pm to 7:30am.

The Flex Unit serves as an overflow unit and consists of curtained patient spaces with half walls rather than traditional private rooms. Nurses working on this unit will need to be comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where patient volume and operational needs can change quickly. At times, the team will be responsible for opening the unit and admitting patients, while at other times they will be preparing patients for transfer as the unit transitions toward closure.

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
