Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse for MedSurg CDU (Day shift, 7am–7pm). The RN works with an interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) using evidence-based practice.
• Provides relationship-based patient centered care respecting age, gender, disease and cultural diversity.
• Partners with patients and families using bedside reports, rounds, and timely patient teaching to align goals with the plan of care.
• Practices using current clinical practice standards.
• Coordinates delivery and documentation of safe, high quality patient care through interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration while practicing in a fiscally responsible manner and supporting staff recruitment and retention.
• Participates in performance improvement, inter/intra-disciplinary processes, and shared governance at all levels.
