Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the MedSurg CDU on the Day shift (7am-7pm). The RN provides patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on safety, advocacy, and high-quality outcomes.

You will practice under the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, follow evidence-based standards, and engage in ongoing professional development. Georgia licensure and BLS are required, with preferred BSN and less than 1 year of experience

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred.
• RN license in Georgia or Compact (multi-state) required upon hire.
• BLS/Basic Life Support certification required at hire or as listed.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing process with assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides patient-centered care adjusting for age, gender and cultural diversity.
• Collaborates with patients and families using bed-side reports, rounds and patient teaching.
• Maintains current clinical practice standards and participates in evidence-based practice.
