Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg – Acute Rehab Unit in Grand Blanc, MI. This full-time role supports a 20-bed Acute Rehab unit focused on patient-centered care and rehabilitation goals.

You will apply clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring safe medication administration and coordinated discharge planning. A 72-hour bi-weekly schedule with every 3rd weekend is noted, along with available differential pay and sign-on bonus

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed in Michigan.
• BLS Certification (AHA) within 3 months or as required.
• Graduate of an approved RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a multidisciplinary care plan to ensure appropriate length of stay, resource use, and quality outcomes.
• Provide patient-centered care with respect for dignity, values, and cultural preferences.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care.
• Administer medications, IVs, and blood products per policy.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with case managers to ensure proper referrals and discharge planning.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date, or Certified Instructor.
• Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Specialization in a relevant clinical area (e.g., medical-surgical, critical care).
