Job summary

Henry Ford Health, in partnership with Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, seeks a Registered Nurse - Emergency to join a 47-bed unit with trauma focus. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum 1 year RN inpatient experience or New Grad with Paramedic/EMT/ED Tech; MI RN license and BLS through AHA within 2–3 months. This role offers growth and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board within 2 months of hire date.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire date.
• Graduate of an approved RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay and quality outcomes.
• Provide patient education and support addressing fears and anxiety.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform dressing changes and glucose monitoring.
• Monitor patient responses to interventions and react to acute changes in condition.
• Collaborate with case managers for discharge planning and follow-up care.

Emergency Unit at Genesys is a Trauma Level 111. This is a 47 bed unit with an additional 10 bed overflow. 2 dedicated trauma bays. This unit excels in stroke & cardiac care.
