Job summary

Encino Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking an RN for the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit. You will deliver safe, direct patient care using the nursing process and support patient/family teaching while coordinating with physicians on clinical changes.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and preferred BSN with ventilator management experience. This part-time day shift offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive compensation range.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Guide patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Direct communication with physicians about clinical changes, test results, and symptoms.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• 5. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• 6. Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• 7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
