TEEMA seeks an experienced MS3 RN for a 10-bed Medical-Surgical unit with full telemetry capabilities. The role offers a guaranteed 36-hour week in a fast-paced acute care setting, supporting adult and pediatric patients with a dedicated telemetry team.

You will work 12-hour day or night shifts, float to related units as needed, and collaborate with Telemetry Technicians, PCTs, and Health Unit Coordinators to maintain safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in an acute care Medical-Surgical setting.
• Current Registered Nurse License.
• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) required.
• NIHSS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on a 10-bed unit with full telemetry monitoring.
• Monitor telemetry data and respond promptly to changes in cardiac status.
• Care for adult patients (ratio 1:5–1:6) and pediatric patients (ratio 1:4) based on acuity.
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units or ICU to manage overflow patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR for continuity of care.
• Collaborate with Charge Nurses and support staff to ensure throughput and patient safety.

Key Duties:

Acute Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to a 10-bed unit with full telemetry monitoring on all beds.

Telemetry Monitoring: Utilize telemetry data to assess patient cardiac status and respond proactively to changes in clinical condition.

Diverse Patient Population: Deliver age-appropriate care for adult patients (1:5–1:6 ratio) and pediatric patients (1:4 ratio), adjusting care based on patient acuity.

Cross-Unit Collaboration: Support the broader hospital team by floating to other Medical-Surgical units or the ICU to manage MS-level overflow patients.

Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records within the electronic medical record system to ensure continuity of care.

Multidisciplinary Support: Work alongside Charge Nurses and support staff to ensure efficient patient throughput and a high standard of patient safety.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an acute care Medical-Surgical setting.

Licensure: Current Registered Nurse License.

• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) required.

NIHSS Certification required.

Clinical Skills: Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and acute care assessments.

Desired Qualifications

Specialized Certification: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) is highly preferred.

Adaptability: Proven ability to float and adapt to different units while maintaining high standards of care.

Acuity Management: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage varying levels of patient acuity.
