Job summary

Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital in Tomahawk, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit. This full-time or 0.9 FTE role includes varied shifts, with every other weekend and holiday requirements. May float to other North Division Hospitals as needed.

A sign-on bonus is eligible. Candidate must hold an active Wisconsin RN license, maintain required certifications (BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required), and complete ongoing CEUs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices from a nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; RN license required.
• Maintains CEUs and department-specific certifications as needed.
• Active Wisconsin RN license and BLS (or within 90 days of hire) required.

REGISTERED NURSE - MED/SURG

Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital, Tomahawk, WI

Full Time or 0.9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period. Varied shifts. Every other weekend and holiday. May float to other North Division Hospitals as needed.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a nursing program. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Maintains education and specialty certification requirements specific to the department scope of service.
• Previous experience beneficial.
• Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
• Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).
• Current Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS), American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification may be required based on primary department.
• Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year.
• The Registered Nurse role at the Stevens Point Campus may be required to obtain additional pyxis training for restocking the pyxis.

Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital in Tomahawk provides primary and specialty services to Tomahawk and rural Lincoln County through a 25-bed critical access hospital.
