Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning in Trumbull, CT, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee nursing procedures and medication administration training, ensuring compliance with state regulations and internal standards.

The role includes initial and refresher Medication Certification training, audits, and development of procedures to support safe storage and dosing of medications at registered sites, with a schedule of Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 7am-3pm.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license.
• State certification to train mandated medication administration course.
• Experience with children and young adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Nursing care and Med Administration regulations; ability to train and audit.
• 5 years’ experience with Medication Administration procedures.
• Background checks satisfactory; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with nursing care and medication administration regulations.
• Conduct initial and refresher Medication Certification training and annual trainings.
• Provide program oversight, training, and audits for nursing care and medication administration.
• Develop internal procedures to support compliance with state regulations for storage, handling, and administration of medications.
• Schedule: 7am-3pm; location: Trumbull, CT.
