MEDIKO is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as MAT/MOUD Coordinator in Shasta County Jail, Redding, CA. The role focuses on direct patient care for inmates in MAT/MOUD programs, including assessment, medication administration, and care planning.

You will collaborate with physicians, counselors, and mental health staff to support recovery and adherence, while upholding safety, policy, and infection control standards in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Current, valid state RN licensure or credentials documented for practice.
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or related field preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in correctional settings.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (AHA/ARC guidelines).
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations in correctional settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a correctional setting with focus on MAT/MOUD.
• Administer MAT/MOUD medications and monitor responses.
• Develop and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Educate patients about MAT/MOUD and support medication adherence.

Redding, CAStatus: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pmSalary: $52-$62 based on experienceJob Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) – MAT/MOUD Coordinator will provide direct, high-quality patient care in a correctional setting, with a specific focus on supporting inmates enrolled in the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) programs. This includes conducting thorough assessments, administering MAT/MOUD medications, implementing individualized care plans, and responding to medical emergencies. The RN will collaborate with healthcare teams—including physicians, counselors, and mental health providers—to develop and monitor comprehensive patient care plans aimed at recovery and rehabilitation. In addition to ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards, the Registered Nurse (RN) – MAT/MOUD Coordinator will play a pivotal role in educating patients about MAT/MOUD medications, supporting their medication adherence, and fostering a recovery-focused environment.
