  • Assessment: Deliver comprehensive care by assessing physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs, collaborating with your healthcare team
  • Diagnosis & Planning: Create personalized care plans with patients and families, prioritizing needs and goals
  • Implementation: Provide evidence-based care, educate patients and families, and execute interventions according to policies
  • Evaluation: Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care accordingly
  • Leadership & Professional Development: Collaborate with your Clinical Manager to drive improvements, promote High Reliability principles, and mentor peers

Qualifications


Additional requirements:

  • Documentation: Accurately document the nursing process in the electronic medical record, reflecting care plans and patient responses
  • Team Responsibilities: Adhere to policies, complete required training, and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and excellent patient care

Licenses & Certifications


  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment
  • BLS certification before patient contact
  • ACLS certification within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas
  • Unit-specific certifications as required

The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is a 16-bed unit providing comprehensive cardiovascular care, utilizing advanced technology and standards. Staff support pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases, managing invasive lines, medications, hemodynamic needs, and ventricular assist devices. The environment fosters mentorship and professional growth, prioritizing nursing excellence.
