Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the OB Unit. This full-time night shift (7p–7a) requires 18 months of Labor and Delivery experience, with a $25,000 sign-on bonus. 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and rotating holidays, plus call.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, ensuring competency, mentoring peers, and maintaining a safe care environment. Current IL RN licensure and CPR are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be needed within six months

Qualifications

• 2 years of L&D/nursery experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Illinois nursing licensure current.
• CPR Certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required.

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Maintains competency and current standards of practice.
• Guides and supervises nursing staff.
• Promotes safety for patients and staff.
• Documents thoroughly and timely.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations.
• Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

What you will need:

• Prefers 2 years of current Labor and Delivery/Nursery Level II nurse experience
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
• Communicates effectively and is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
• Current Illinois Nursing licensure
• American Heart Association CPR Certification
• ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on the unit requirements
