Description of Work

A Sign-on bonus of $10,000 for the successful applicant(s) of this posting.

  • See eligibility for Sign-on Bonus below in the Supplemental and Contact Information section.
  • Per G.S.126-5(c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.***

The position supervises licensed practical nurses as well as health care technicians. The primary focus of this position includes but is not limited to providing active programming and ensuring safety of our patients, which is driven by individual patients’ treatment plans.

About the Unit: Cherry Hospital’s Hope & Wellness Center (HWC) uses the “treatment mall” model of service delivery. The treatment mall is a centralized programming area away from each patient’s hospital residential unit where recovery-oriented treatment and rehabilitative services are made accessible to all of the facility’s adult patient population (geriatric, adult acute, extended stay) in an integrated program design. Ultimately, most adult patients from throughout the hospital receive services at the Hope & Wellness Center. HWC programming offerings include, but are not limited to, psychotherapy and educational groups, skill building groups, individual counseling services, peer support services, work therapy, and special activities. All patients and staff re-locate to this centralized programming area as do all patient services such as meals.

  • This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
