Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Nursing License (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants. Plan the shift’s services, programs and activities with staff.
• Make written & oral reports/recommendations concerning shift activities. Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required. Provide leadership to nursing personnel.
• Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop & maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel to ensure nursing services meet residents’ needs.
• Monitor assigned personnel to ensure safety regulations in equipment and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
