Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN in Iowa.

• Proficient in reading, speaking, and writing fluent English.
• Ability to learn and navigate computer systems and job-specific software.

Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver nursing care per Iowa Nursing Practice Act, ANA standards, and ANA Code of Ethics.
• Assess, delegate, and coordinate care; initiate nursing process.
• Provide direct/indirect patient care and family counseling.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to providers and team members.
• Mentor and consult with other nursing staff for development.
• Lead during shifts as Charge Nurse and coordinate tasks.
• Integrate evidence into practice and apply best available research.
• Engage in professional development and collegial interactions.
• Participate in care planning with patient, family, and other providers.
