Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Night Shift RN - Labor & Delivery for full-time 36 hours per week. The role includes providing care under the Illinois RN Act, with rotating weekends and holidays, and a focus on assessment, monitoring, and teamwork.

The position offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates with 18+ months in L&D, plus competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher required; BSN within 5 years if ADN holder.
• Current IL RN license.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• ACLS within 6 months of start date.
• C-EFM within 12 months of start date.
• NRP within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per IL Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Assess patient condition, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, document observations.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to staff; participate as a team member.
• Night shift responsibilities with rotating weekends/holidays.

Hourly Pay Range:
$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Sign On Bonus: $25,000 for candidates with at least 18 months of experience within Labor & Delivery clinical specialty (with parameters)
• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Full Time - 36 hours
• Hours: Nights 7 pm to 7:30 am including rotating weekends and rotating holiday's

What you will do:

Provides professional nursing care according in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals. The following are general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.

What you will need:

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current BLS through American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within six months of start date into position
• Certificate of Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) within one year of start date into position
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of start date into position
• Labor and delivery experience preferred
