Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL seeks a qualified nurse for night shifts (7 pm–7:30 am) on a full-time basis. The role requires careful assessment, planning, and collaboration with the care team to deliver high-quality patient care in a busy Labor & Delivery unit.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; ADN must be followed by BSN within five years.
• Current State of Illinois RN licensure.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification within six months of start date.
• C-EFM certification within one year of start date.
• NRP certification within six months of start date.
• Labor and delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care per IL RN Practice Act, policies and procedures; assesses patients and plans and evaluates care.
• Monitors patient progress, records observations, and delegates appropriate tasks to staff.
• Acts as a team member to support unit goals; duties may vary by shift.

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights

• Sign On Bonus: $25,000 for candidates with at least 18 months of experience within Labor & Delivery clinical specialty (with parameters)
• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Full Time 36 hours
• Hours: Nights 7 pm to 7:30 am including rotating weekends and rotating holiday's

What You Will Do

• Provides professional nursing care according in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals. What You Will Need

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
  • If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current BLS through American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within six months of start date into position
• Certificate of Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) within one year of start date into position
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of start date into position
• Labor and delivery experience preferred
