Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery Unit, 36 hours per week, 12-hour midnight shifts. This full-time, benefit-eligible position emphasizes leadership in coordinating compassionate patient care and applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.

The nurse will provide leadership in coordinating care, communicate with the health care team, and participate in improving patient outcomes in maternal child health.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• One year experience L&D, LDRP, Postpartum or similar Maternal Child Health Unit.

General Summary

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Education/Experience Required
