Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. Guides patient and family teaching and supervises other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. Must respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Ensures a safe environment for patients and visitors. Uses the chain of command when necessary to ensure the well-being of newborns and mothers during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days and must be maintained.
• ACLS certification within 90 days and must be maintained.
• NRP certification within 90 days and must be maintained.
• Basic Fetal Monitoring within 60 days of hire and must be maintained.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred.
• STABLE certification preferred.

Compensation ranges from $40.83 to $52.88 per hour, with exact offers determined based on experience, education, and credentials.
