Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a registered nurse in Labor & Delivery for a full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am) with every third weekend. The role emphasizes independent judgment, exceptional patient care, and collaboration within a high-volume academic health system in Michigan.

The ideal candidate holds MI RN licensure, BLS certification, and prefers 2+ years in Labor & Delivery. Training will align with hospital standards and patient safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire date.
• BLS provider credentialed from the American Heart Association obtained within 90 days of hire date or as an instructor.
• 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Graduate of an approved RN nursing program.

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Uses independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrates clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes; and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months (60 days) of hire date or transfer date required.
• Certified BLS provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained with 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or, Certified Instructor.
• 2 years - Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Education: Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
