Job summary

Rush Copley Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Labor and Delivery team in Aurora, Illinois. You will be responsible for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on the Caring Model, while ensuring ethical and safe processes are upheld.

The ideal candidate must hold a current Illinois RN license, possess an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, and is preferred to have a Bachelor’s Degree. Relevant certifications like CPR, ACLS, and NRP are required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred, must obtain BSN within 5 years if hired/transferred after 8/1/2013.
• Previous experience preferred.

At Rush Copley Medical Center, our Women's Health team provides the expert care, comfort and attention it takes to make our patient's experience as safe and fulfilling as possible. Equipped with the latest technology and newly renovated rooms, these highly experienced providers are prepared for everything from the most routine deliveries to high-risk pregnancies needing the care of our Level III NICU.

Position Summary

The registered nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients' status, plan of care, and goal achievement. Care is provided in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion based on the Caring Model, exemplifies the mission, vision and values of Rush Copley, and is in accordance with policies and procedures. The registered nurse is expected to uphold the most ethical and safe processes while keeping the care of the patient as a top priority. The position works closely with the entire multidisciplinary team and must have a complete understanding of own limitations and, in turn, seek advice, judgment and support of others, when necessary.

Position Requirements

• License: Current state of Illinois Registered Nurse license required.
• Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. For hires or transfers on/after 8/1/2013, must obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire/transfer date.
• Certifications: CPR Required, ACLS required within six months of hire, NRP required within six months of hire
• Special Skills: Competency in Fetal Monitoring or completes AWHONN Fetal Monitoring course
• Experience: Previous experience preferred
