Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a valid NJ nursing license and AHA BLS/CPR certification, with 1 year of Maternal Child RN experience. BSN is preferred or must be obtained within 3 years; NRP/ACLS preferred, with 6 months to obtain.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification is required.
• 1 year of RN experience in Maternal Child Department areas (post partum, nursery, NICU, etc).
• NRP certification and ACLS is highly preferred, must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• BSN is highly preferred or must obtain within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care for patient-centered care with diverse populations.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Responsible for patient and family satisfaction and care experience per HMH standards.
• Medication administration using clinical documentation technology to ensure safe delivery of medications.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration in management of patient plans from admission to discharge.

A day in the life of a Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian includes

• Delivery of nursing practices according to the evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide and ensure safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient centered care with a diverse patient population.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and other members of the health care team regarding patient’s status, rendered care and treatment plans.
• Responsible for optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience according to Hackensack Meridian Health standards.
• Medication administration utilizing the latest clinical documentation technology designed to ensure the safest delivery of medications to our patients.
• Patient and family centered care aimed at optimizing health, wellness and disease management.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration in management of our patient’s plan of care and goals from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.

Minimum rate of $46.25 Hourly
