Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, MO is seeking a Labor and Delivery nurse for night shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), with 24 hours per week. The role requires RN licensure in Missouri, BLS and ACLS/NRP within timelines, and a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

They are responsible for assisting, supporting, and educating families throughout the birth process. The Labor and Delivery nurse provides comprehensive, family centered nursing care to mothers and neonates during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages of delivery. The Labor and Delivery nurse must be able to recognize complications and act quickly to stabilize the situation and communicate with the patient, family, and appropriate physicians and specialists.Education Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience Preferred: Previous nursing experience Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate effective leadership abilities Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
