Medical City Plano is seeking a Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery to plan and provide goal-directed nursing care for mothers and newborns, advocating for patient safety and wellbeing. The RN will coordinate care autonomously using evidence-based practices within our high-risk antepartum and neonatal units.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of RN experience in L&D, holds a Texas State RN license (or compact) and preferably a BSN/MSN, with BLS and ACLS current.

Formación

• BLS, ACLS, NRP must be obtained within specified timeframes.
• Texas State RN License or compact license required.
• 1+ year of RN experience in Labor and Delivery; BSN/MSN preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Staff Nurse is responsible for planning and providing individual goal directed nursing care that promotes, advocates for, and strives to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family and community. The nurse possesses knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the particular skills necessary to provide optimum patient care to the population for which he or she is employed. The RN is accountable for their practice and care coordination. The RN is expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence based practices. The practice of the Registered Nurse will support the mission, vision and values of Medical City Plano and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• AHWONN must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN/MSN preferred
• 1+ year of licensed RN experience and L&D experience required
