The Labor & Delivery unit at Mission Hospital is a 16-bed unit. It is a fast-paced environment with a high volume of deliveries, involving care in laboring rooms, operating rooms, and OB triage.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Provide leadership to facilitate professional nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
• Use the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation—to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and education.
• Implement medically prescribed interventions.

Qualifications required include:

• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within 5 years; experienced RNs (10+ years) are exempt.
• Preferred: Master's in Nursing.
• Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Preferred: Specialty certification and Neonate Resuscitation certification within 30 days of employment.
