Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco is seeking a Registered Nurse with Radiology nursing experience to join the Radiology and Biomedical Imaging teams. This 10-hour day shift covers weekends with variable days off, and you may float to Parnassus, Mission Bay, or other UCSF campuses.

You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, support patients undergoing radiologic procedures, and assist with moderate sedation and anesthesia cases within an interdisciplinary

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of recent Radiology nursing experience
• The ability to wear lead apron when required.
• Moderate Sedation competency required.
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for radiology patients and those with more complex needs.

Description & Requirements

This is a 10 hour day shift position, primarily working on weekends with variable days off during the week. Location: Parnassus and Mission Bay with the ability to float to all other campuses

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

The RN functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team caring for patients who are undergoing procedures or exams in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at any Radiology site. The RN carries out established nursing procedures to prepare patients prior to Radiologic procedures, during the procedure, and following the procedure. The RN assists with the management of patient care during moderate sedation and anesthesia cases.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Radiology Imaging Nursing preferred
• 2 years experience in either IR, ICU, ED, PACU, or procedural area.
• BSN REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State
• Current healthcare provider CPR (BLS) and ACLS
