Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing; BSN required within five years
- Registered Nurse licensure required
- 1–2 years of specialty/critical care RN experience (ICU/ED/IR) preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines
- Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes
- Provide safe, ethical, patient-centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy
- Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs
- Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy
- Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions
- Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans with the care team
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery
- Participate in organizational activities such as committees and staff meetings
- Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self-assessment
- Build collaborative relationships across the healthcare team
- Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement

- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing. BSN required within five years of hire.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)ACLS/PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department
- Registered Nurse licensure required
- Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
- Minimum of 1-2 years of specialty/critical care RN experience, such as ICU, ED or Interventional Radiology
- Must live within a 30 minute radius of Bethesda North Hospital for call requirements
