Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing; BSN required within five years
  • Registered Nurse licensure required
  • 1–2 years of specialty/critical care RN experience (ICU/ED/IR) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes
  • Provide safe, ethical, patient-centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy
  • Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs
  • Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions
  • Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans with the care team
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery
  • Participate in organizational activities such as committees and staff meetings
  • Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self-assessment
  • Build collaborative relationships across the healthcare team

  • Full Time Days - (80 hours bi-weekly)
  • Weekend rotation

Job Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing. BSN required within five years of hire.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)ACLS/PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department
  • Registered Nurse licensure required
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of specialty/critical care RN experience, such as ICU, ED or Interventional Radiology
  • Must live within a 30 minute radius of Bethesda North Hospital for call requirements
