Job summary

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to support interventional radiology and general patient care. You will assess patients at admission and during procedures, document care, administer meds, and monitor responses in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least one year of acute care experience; IRCU/ICU/ER experience is preferred. Fingerprinting is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and active Florida RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• One year of acute care hospital RN experience; IRU/ICU/ER preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each procedure, report changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care administration in the patient record timely and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for IR patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each procedure, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of Interventional radiology patients.

What you will need in this role:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or
• Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• A minimum of one year acute care hospital RN experience
• IRCU, ICU, or ER RN experience preferred
• Fingerprinting required
