Qualifications

• Licensed RN credential from Michigan Board of Nursing within 2 months of hire.
• BLS Provider certification from AHA within 3 months of hire.
• Graduate of an approved RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multi-disciplinary plan of care to optimize length of stay and resource use.
• Provide nursing care respecting patient rights, dignity, values, and culture.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, safety, and self-care.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures per guidelines.
• Monitor patient responses and address acute condition changes.
• Collaborate with teams for smooth transitions and discharge planning.

What You Will Do

• Coordinate the development of a multi-disciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay and resource utilization.
• Provide patient care that respects individual rights, dignity, values, and cultural preferences.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, safety measures, and self-care, ensuring effective communication and support.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures according to established guidelines.
• Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognizing and addressing acute changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth transitions and appropriate discharge planning.

Required Qualifications

What You Will Need

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months of hire date.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date.
• Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
