HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Lab PRN to join our dedicated team. You will provide direct nursing care, observe and respond to patient status, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a Florida RN license (compact license acceptable), BSN preferred, and completion of NIH Stroke Scale, BCLS, and ACLS within specified timeframes.

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required.
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start.
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start.
• Interventional Cath Lab experience required.
• 30 minute call window.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Interventional Lab RN PRN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will proactively assume responsibility and accountability for several patients during a designated time frame while following policies and procedures. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.

In this role you will:

• Knows how to apply interventions -- Knows the proper procedure for a relevant care intervention and applies it accordingly.
• Facilitates goal accomplishment -- Makes procedural or process suggestions for achieving team goals or performing team functions; provides necessary resources or helps to remove obstacles to help the team accomplish its goals.
• Interprets information -- Integrates information from a variety of sources; detects trends, associations, and cause-effect relationships.
• Chooses appropriate action -- Formulates clear decision criteria; evaluates options by considering implications and consequences; chooses an effective option. Involves others -- Includes others in the decision-making process as warranted to obtain good information, make the most appropriate decisions, and ensure buy-in and understanding of the resulting decisions.
• Patient & Family Communication-Communicates and interacts with patients, families and others in a caring, empathetic, courteous, and respectful manner.
• Physician Communication & Coordination-Receives, interprets and implements physician orders accurately and in a courteous manner. Consults resources in clarifying unfamiliar or questionable orders.

Job Requirements:

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date
• Interventional Cath Lab experience required
• 30 minute call window
