Lamb Staffing is seeking an experienced travel nurse for an Intermediate Care assignment in Atlanta, GA. The unit comprises 20 beds of standard intermediate care and an overflow 8-bed area to decompress the ED. A current state license, at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty, and BLS/ACLS are required.

Job description

5J is divided into Intermediate Care and overflow. The patient populations are similar. Intermediate care is 20 beds with more standard intermediate care patients (high acuity O2, bipap, trachs, vents). Overflow area is an 8 bed open unit and will have lower acuity intermediate care patients. Overflow area helps decompress the emergency room and patients typically get transferred to med surg units when beds become available. All patients could be on heparin, insulin, cardiac drips. 2 years exp. required, BLS, ACLS
