Job summary

AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Weekend Work Program (Part Time, Nights). Eligible clinicians may earn salary increases up to 20% through the Clinical Ladder based on experience and achievement.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, developing care plans, administering medications, educating families, and coordinating with the medical team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; re-evaluate as needed.
• Administer medications/treatments per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
