Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA seeks an ICU RN to provide intensive care to patients with life-threatening conditions. The ICU RN will monitor vitals, administer IV fluids, and collaborate with the medical team to adjust care plans.

The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, and critical care experience. 12-hour shifts with variable hours; full-time employment with opportunities to advance in a busy acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate on hire and maintain current.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions
• Use advanced equipment like cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters
• Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions
• Manage life-support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors
• Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided
• Document all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorously maintaining infection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients

Hours: 12-hour shifts - 7:00am to 7:00pm or 7pm-7am

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center – Riverdale, GA

We are seeking an Intensive Care Nurse, also referred to as an ICU RN or Intensive Care Unit RN. The Intensive Care RN (ICU RN) will be responsible for providing intensive care to patients with life-threatening conditions. The ICU RN will have advanced skills in critical care settings, make quick decision s , and will be compassionate to all patient s . An ICU RN monitors vital signs, blood oxygen levels, administer IV Fluids, and communicates effectively to the medical team to modify care plans accordingly.
