Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System in Dunn, North Carolina, is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit to plan and implement professional nursing care in line with hospital policies. The role may include charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.

The ideal candidate will assess patient needs, coordinate comprehensive care, administer medications, and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current NC RN licensure or compact state licensure.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate care and practice leadership in a fast-paced unit.
• Understanding of age-specific patient needs and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and plan appropriate nursing actions.
• Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications as ordered and monitor effects.
• Establish collaborative relationships with health system staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and monitor care quality.
