Job Description

The Direct Patient Care RN is a licensed professional responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The role requires mastery of core competencies including technical skills, communication, critical thinking, and professional accountability, with a focus on patient-family centered care and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Licenses & Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy, Neonatal Resuscitation, BLS, ACLS, RN license.

Additional Requirements

• For RNs hired after specific dates, a BSN must be obtained within five years of hire.
• Completion of a preceptor class within twelve months of independent practice eligibility.
• Additional certifications like ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, or ONS-Chemotherapy may be required.
