Job summary

Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center in Owensboro, KY seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Integrated Care Unit. This per diem/PRN role provides direct nursing care, develops and monitors care plans, and coordinates patient discharge with the care team.

The RN must be licensed in Kentucky (or eligible) and obtain BLS within 45 days; ACLS/PALS may be required. Expect a fast-paced environment and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the state of Kentucky or eligible to practice per hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing must be completed within 5 years of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days of employment; ACLS/PALS as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans and coordinates discharge planning with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders; assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
• Serves as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
• Performs duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act; works under general supervision in a high‑stress environment.
