Baystate Health is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse for the 32-bed Orthopedic Specialty Surgical Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. The role requires an active MA RN license, a current CPR certification, and at least 1 year of RN experience. ADN is required; BSN preferred.

Department Description

32-Bed Orthopedic Specialty Surgical Unit located on the 7th floor of the Mass Mutual Building.

30 private rooms.

The unit services a wide variety of patients, with a large population of elective surgeries such as total hip replacements, knee replacements and orthopedic trauma patients.

The unit also sees those with acute conditions generally associated with trauma, ranging from fractures, ligament tears, tendon tears, and joint dislocations.

Physical Therapy Room on unit for direct rehabilitation services.

Full Time, Day Shift (6a-630p) Every other weekend and rotating holidays

Qualifications

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Education: AND required; BSN preferred.
