Job summary

Plan A Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a Level One Trauma Emergency Department, serving all ages from Neonate to Geriatric. You will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team and document individualized care plans.

The role requires 1 year of related experience, NM RN license or reciprocal, and CPR/BLS within 30 days of hire. A rotating shift schedule with weekends/holidays and a sign-on bonus with relocation

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Current RN license in NM or reciprocal jurisdiction.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Physical ability to perform heavy work and to work in hazardous environments with PPE.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with differential pay.

Responsibilities

• Delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Implementing and documenting individualized care plans, including discharge planning and patient education.
• Assisting with tests, procedures, and emergency measures, ensuring proper consent and safety protocols.
• Administering medications, including IVs, and maintaining accurate medical records.
• Participating in orientation, precepting new staff, and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Ensuring patient safety by following policies, reporting concerns, and promoting a safe environment.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development through educational activities and literature review.
• Responding to patient and family inquiries, triaging calls, and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
