Job summary

Boston Medical Center - Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the inpatient psychiatric unit. This part-time, 24 hours per week position offers a collaborative, evidence-based care environment with emphasis on professional growth and patient-centered outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include MA RN license, Diploma/ASN/BSN ( BSN within 4 years preferred), and BLS. ACLS within 90 days of hire is required; NIHSS is a plus. EHR experience and strong communication are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS certificate preferred and/or completed during orientation.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the psychiatric inpatient including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients

Job Requirements

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

• 1+ years of Inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience preferred
• Certification in basic life support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life support(ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certificate preferred and/or completed during orientation
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Experience with electronic health record preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language a plus.

Compensation Range

$39.80- $93.69

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
