Job summary

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Fleming Island, FL is seeking an Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This Full-time Days position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM at the Clay campus in Jacksonville, FL.

As an Infusion Therapy RN, you will perform venipuncture, IV access, and PICC line care, administer IV meds, monitor patient responses, and educate patients and families about their disease and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• ASNA Required (associates degree) in nursing.
• RN license by state nursing board.
• BLS certification required by hospital.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and IV catheter insertion.
• Administers IV medications and monitors responses.
• Identifies signs of distress and adverse drug reactions.
• Obtains vital signs and maintains patient charts.
• Develops individualized care plans with patient/family.
• Educates patients and families about disease and treatment plans.
• Acts as patient advocate and coordinates with radiology staff.

Baptist MD Anderson is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Infusion Therapy team at our Clay campus in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-time Days position Monday-Friday from 8-5.

As an Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse, you will:

• Performs venipuncture, IV catheter insertion, and PICC line care.
• Calculates and administers IV medications.
• Recognizes signs of distress or reaction to meds.
• Identifies abnormal labs based on patients drug and co-morbidities.
• Obtains vital signs.
• Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
• Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Educate of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Serve as patient advocate and responsible for assisting the Interventional Radiologists.
• Provide optimum care utilizing the nursing process

Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse Experience:

• IV Team Experience
• Oncology Infusion Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associates of Science in Nursing Required
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Nursing Boards Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA Required
