Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Registered Nurse in Infusion Services in Brick, NJ. This per diem, day-shift role focuses on direct patient care, data collection, and coordination of a patient-centered plan of care.

Responsibilities include independent assessments, monitoring for clinical changes, and administering medications with bar-scanning tech. Requires NJ RN license and BLS/CPR, oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey nursing license.
• BLS/CPR certification required (American Heart Association).
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willingness to obtain within 3 years.

What You'll Do

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Adhere to established protocols and document care accurately.

Requirements

• Education:
  • BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire
• Experience:
  • 6+ months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required
  • BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required
  • Oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification strongly preferred
