Job summary

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Louisiana is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate and provide patient care in an oncology setting.

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, you will assess patient needs, document IV infusions, administer chemotherapy, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of LA required.
• ONS/OCN certification highly preferred.
• BLS CPR required.
• 3 years of nursing experience in a clinic, Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work with multiple physicians.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and nursing duties.
• Document IV infusions, immunotherapy, and injections; central line care.

An ideal candidate should be able to assess and prioritize patient needs, have good time management and pay strict attention to details. Must be able to work independently, and work well with others.
