Department: Department of Veterans Affairs

The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process, influence outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdsciplinary team, and execute position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches, and systematically evaluate current practice.

https://youtu.be/LM35k1p_3Tc?si=6wdZw0Lag331XBMR Duties JOA - Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Exercise leadership in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of hardware and software applications integrated with the electronic health record (EHR) and associated programs/applications. Apply Informatics principals and theories to healthcare operations and projects.

Obtain and analyze healthcare data to identify quality improvement opportunities and outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including other program and service leaders at the facility and network. Work closely to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of Veteran Affairs (VA) staff nationwide. Focus on individual growth and development in practice with increased levels of self-direction.

Bring principles and theory with limited application of critical thinking skills. May be required to perform clinical rotations throughout the SLC VAHCS as needed.
