Position Details

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provides medical services at the scope and level of a Registered Nurse to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.
2. Systematically assesses urgent or emergent health needs, analyzes data, and formulates a care plan with the medical team, considering the employee's capabilities and job requirements.
3. Implements treatment plans for various life-threatening medical conditions.
4. Uses and understands various medical devices, such as catheters and feeding tubes.
5. Operates life support systems.
6. Recognizes and treats illnesses and injuries according to established protocols within licensure and state regulations.
7. Records and maintains patient information following standard protocols and the Privacy Act.
8. Identifies and records signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.
9. Exercises skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making daily.
10. Makes independent judgments and prioritizes workload.
11. Demonstrates success in stressful environments.
12. Pursues professional development and continuing education to stay current with healthcare practices, especially in emergency medical treatment.
13. Monitors financial transactions and ensures contract charges are applied correctly.
14. Protects patient privacy through confidentiality, infection control, and proper medication administration and equipment maintenance.
15. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse.
2. Recent clinical experience in patient care within the past 6 months of the last year for all healthcare providers and support staff.
3. Associate degree from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's preferred.
4. Active and unrestricted Nursing License and ability to be credentialed favorably.
5. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CBIC/CIC.
6. Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively.
7. Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
8. Ability to work under stress and adapt to sudden changes, including shift changes.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with management across functions.
10. Self-starter with a sense of urgency and action orientation.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

• Work is typically performed in an interior/office environment.
• Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
