Job summary

Vetted Solutions seeks an Infection Prevention Nurse to lead infection control programs, conduct rounds, and ensure patient safety and quality of care within a clinical setting.

The RN will coordinate with medical staff to develop policies, participate in HAI surveillance, and educate staff on best practices. BSN required; 2+ years RN hospital experience; strong regulatory knowledge and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years RN hospital experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Experience with infection prevention, survey preparation, and epidemiology preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of infection disease principles and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with infection prevention activities across healthcare facilities in collaboration with medical staff and leadership.
  • Develop, review, and revise infection control policies, procedures, and educational initiatives.
  • Participate in surveillance activities, including outbreak investigations and reporting hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
  • Coordinate infection control rounds, recommend changes, and provide staff education.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards such as Joint Commission and Department of Health surveys.
  • Collaborate with community health agencies and support public health investigations.
  • Maintain expertise through continuing education and professional association participation.
  • Perform medical record reviews to identify potential HAIs and ensure reporting requirements are met.
