Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Illinois RN licensure required for practice.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to care setting policies.
• Documents accurately and comprehensively per established standards of care.
• Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care with physician input.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to their level of understanding.
• Participates in performance improvement activities within the department.
• Escalates safety and patient experience concerns through proper channels.
• Responds to telephone triage and maintains patient flow in clinic and ambulatory settings.
