Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide total, continuous, and patient-centered care using the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an assigned group of patients.

The RN collaborates with the healthcare team to apply research and implement evidence-based knowledge in practice, directing nursing care and participating in quality improvement, orientation, and policy development.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or compact state.
• BSN or ASN from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS required at hire; ACLS/NRP within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the health team.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Assist in orientation and onboarding of staff.
• Act as point of contact for policies and procedures.
• Contribute to daily operations ensuring a safe patient/staff environment.
