Job Title: Registered Nurse, IMCU/Step-Down

Join us at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital as a Registered Nurse, IMCU/Step-Down.

This role involves providing professional nursing care in an inpatient hospital setting, utilizing nursing processes, applying clinical knowledge, and exercising independent judgment to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses or equivalent state board, or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of nursing experience.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Modify patient care plans based on data and individual needs.
  • Use Evidence-Based Practice to deliver care.
  • Delegate according to scope of practice.
  • Verify care plans with team, patients, and families.
  • Provide patient and family education.
  • Promote effective communication among healthcare team members.

  • Utilize resources effectively, especially in sensitive situations.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and professional development.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds manually, with equipment assistance as needed.
