The Staff Registered Nurse is responsible for managing and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process. May be required to float to other units and participate in on-call status. This position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on patient contact level.

Qualifications

1. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Oklahoma or a multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
2. Current BLS certification upon hire, or completion within 30 days.
3. Effective communication skills in English.
4. Department-specific competencies completed during orientation.

Additional Qualifications by Department

• Hospice Only: Current CPR (required), CHPN preferred, valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, proof of automobile insurance.
• Radiology Only: Current ACLS certification required.
• Employee Health: Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, proof of automobile insurance.
• INTEGRIS Mental Health: Ability to operate INTEGRIS or personal vehicle, valid Oklahoma driver’s license, acceptable driving record.
• Emergency Department Only: PALS certification within 12 months, ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

The Staff Registered Nurse’s duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assessment/re-assessments
• Development of the care plan
• Implementation and evaluation of patient care interventions
• Supervising and coordinating care with licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Providing guidance and mentorship to staff and students

The nurse reports to the appropriate manager, director, or vice president.

Mental health staff must assist with physical restraint of patients using the Behavior Management Technique System.
