• AdventHealth Kissimmee is a 242-bed community-focused hospital
• Located near Walt Disney World
• The team is dedicated to providing mission-focused, faith-based care to residents and visitors of Osceola and Orange Counties
• Recently expanded with a new tower adding 3 floors and 80 beds, including new inpatient rehab, dialysis, laboratory, and imaging services.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care to specific age groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) to achieve departmental goals. Adheres to AdventHealth's compliance plan and all applicable regulations. Actively participates in delivering outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all.

• NURSING PROCESS: Conducts timely assessments including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors, and signs of abuse or neglect. Makes appropriate decisions and interventions based on patient needs (ANA, 2012).
• NURSING PROCESS: Sets measurable, achievable goals based on assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates and adjusts as needed. Practice includes whole person care—mind, body, and spirit (King, 1995).
• NURSING KNOWLEDGE: Assesses and interprets diagnostic data relevant to patient age and condition, including labs, monitoring, and interdisciplinary notes. Applies knowledge of diagnoses, procedures, medications, and equipment related to the patient population.
• PATIENT SAFETY: Ensures adherence to regulatory standards, infection control, medication safety policies, and patient teaching opportunities, following the plan of care.
• COMMUNICATION: Promotes excellent patient experiences through compassionate, effective communication with patients, families, visitors, and interdisciplinary teams. Utilizes appropriate communication techniques and follows the chain of command when necessary.
